Now the car’s on fire, how to put it out.
I should have know that Ann wasn’t finished with me when the car was burning. Her next question was how would the fire department put it out.
“Good question,” I thought to myself.
Fortunately, my favorite little brother (ok, my only brother, so he wins the award by default) is a Captain in the Maple Ridge Fire Department (Hall #1) up in British Columbia, Canada. So I shot him off an email. And he even answered. Basically, the firemen would use a mixture of fire retardent foam and water, which is mixed on the Fire Truck. The firemen can control the ratio of the mixture based on the requirements of the fire. He also said that Youtube has lots of great videos of fires being put out. Thanks Steve!
